The 4th Million Subaru Rolls Off The Assembly Line In Lafayette, ID

Subaru has reached another major milestone as the 4th million Subaru vehicle rolled off the assembly line on Monday, April 22nd.

At 10:51 am a brand new 2019 silver, Subaru Outback was completed and marked the 4th million Subaru made in the United States at the Lafayette, ID plant. “We’ve come a long way since building our first Subaru vehicle more than 30 years ago,” said Scott Brand, senior vice president at SIA. The Lafayette plant was the only Subaru facility outside of Japan and started producing vehicles back in 1989. And today Subaru of Indiana Automotive is still the only manufacturing facility outside of Japan that currently produces the Ascent, Impreza, Legacy and Outback models for the North America market.
